Easy Tricorn black wall!

Our current house is an artistic dream, a blank white slate. Old meets new. Crazy warm wooden 100 old creaky floors meets cold new sleek modern concrete grey tile.

Go bold! I mean it. Use black on an accent wall. Get your favorite family pictures in black and white. Paint that wall dark. I promise you it will make any room look sleek. Hang those prints and see them pop like stars against the midnight sky.

I picked a very small wall to paint black in our new house. With the warm wood rail from reclaimed wood as our stair railing, the black accents it perfectly. Mixing cold colors with a warm wood accent is a neat way of pulling the modern look off.

Tip! Please cover every inch of the carpet, black paint does not go away. 🙂 I use a big canvas drop and love it so much more then using any plastic coverings. The cheap plastic sheets tend to move more and get stuck on my shoes/feet. A big textured canvas drop is heavy and stays better, it’s far more durable and reusable. Plus it makes you look a lot more professional! Hello painter!
