Fresh Laundry room makeover!
Yay, we finally have a laundry room. In our old house we had a laundry closet. With dark concrete tile and all white I needed a fresh color to get some vibrant life in this room. A room I want to do laundry in!
I used Sherwin and Williams color WATERY SW6478. It has that fresh clean modern look I wanted to contrast those darker tile floors. I’m considering painting the entire room in this color instead of just above the laundry machines. What do you think? I always love an accent wall and I usually only paint a few walls in a room. However in this little laundry nook, I’m really thinking I should paint the entire room. What do you think?
The color Water from Sherwin-Williams reminds me of the water in Hawaii. The picture above is my hand, holding my precious airbnb coffee mug @ sunrise. The jet lag was in our favor and we saw the insanely beautiful sunrise every morning on our last trip to the islands. Hear those waves? It also brings me to my plant favorites, the cacti’s or the succulents. Their growing patterns are unmistakably crazy cool. So when I pick a color for a room, I vision things that make me happy, things that brings me joy. In this case the color paint watery, brings me to the islands of Hawaii or a cacti garden in Palm Springs. Both places I rather be then in my laundry room folding laundry. Colors should make you happy. This color brings me happiness when folding away.
